HAVELOCK HARBOUR BOARD.
Tho usual monthly meeting of the Havelock Harbour Board was hold in tho Board’s office on Wednesday, pre-. sent: Messrs H. M. Reader (chairman), W. H. Smith, W. H. Orsman, and Owen Passau
A motion of condolence was accorded the relatives of Mrs. John Duncan, Mr Kenny, and Mr J. Gould.
Discussing the' question of payment of dues on local-owned launches, tho secretary was instructed to apply for payment of overdue fees.
A communication covering illustrated instruction of treatment of apparently drowned persons was received from the Marine Department, and the secretary was instructed to have same placed in a conspicuous position at the wharf.
Satisfaction was expressed at the manner in which the wharf repair work had been carried out, and the secretary was instructed to arrange with Mr G. Pope to have the wattling work done as soon as possible.
A claim for damages to propellor of launch was not entertained by the Board, the members feeling that more definite information was required as to what obstruction the launch had struck. Accounts amounting to £SO 19s 8d were passed for payment, and the Board then rose with a hearty vote of thanks to the chair.
