RED TRIANGLE DAY.
By permission of the chairman of the Marlborough Patriotic Association (Mr J. J. Gerry) the organisation of that society may be used to arrange and conduct money-raising efforts in aid of the. Y.M.C.A. War Fund on “Bed Triangle Day” (15th March). It has been suggested that the weal committee should hold a sale of gifts, or some such function on or before that date, and a public meeting will he held in the library tc-night to dscuss Mays and moans of best aiding this special appeal. This Y.M.C.A. appeal is for £1 per man for every New Zealand soldier on active service, and for this modest sum (five-pence per week per man) they will guarantee to maintain their splendid work throughout the coining twelve months Cur Marlboiough quota is £ISOO and the Pa.riotic Association, with the assistance of ilf subbranches, expects to raise iv-ry penny of it. Our boys are doing their part well and we at homo would be failing in our duty if we allowed this appeal to go oy unheaded. On Saturday, 16th March, a central dem onstrat.cn and final effort will bo held in B-v nheim.
