CAPTURE OF ARLEUX.

HEAVY FIGHTING CONTINUES. LONDON, April 29. Sir Douglas Haig reports: Severe fighting, in which wo had the advantage, lasted all day from the Scarpe river to the Acheville-Vimy road. We captured Arleux and the enemy's positions on a front of over two miles north and south of the villa\Ve also made progress north-west of Gavrelle and on the western slopes of Greenland Hill, between Gavrelle and Eoeux. . , Southward of the river we gained ground north of Monchy-le-Preux.
