Sinn Fein Relics.
It is to be hoped that some at least of the Sinn Fein relics will find a permanent resting-place in one of the tea-rooms or other apartments of the House of Commons. Such mementoes are few and far betsveen, but those that have been preserved have remarkable historic associations with the Palace of Westminster.
For instance, in the library there is to be seen the actual key with which Guy Fawkes and his fellowconspirators were assisted in endeavouring to carry out their nefarious designs upon the House of Lords. This old key, which is about eighteen inches in length, Ties in a glass case on a red velvet resting-place.
Another interesting relic is the old table which was rescued from the fire which consumed the House of Parliament, and which was recovered from one of the Government offices by the late Sir Reginald Palgrave, the Clerk of the House. There, are, of course, innumerable pictures of historic interest scattered *b »5> para-, of the palace.
