MR WEAVER AND THE ROAD BOARD.

At the meeting of the Pclorus Road Board on Tuesday the following communication avus read from Mr Alex. Weaver:—"The secretary, Pelorus Road Board.—Dear Sir,—ln reply to yours of March 4th, making certain proposals in the event of my resignation as a member of the Wairau Hospital Board, I bog to say that as it is beyond the power of the Pelorus Road Board to alter tho mode by which a seat shall be filled on the Hospital Board in case of resignation, and, as (very fortunately for the country) tho Pelorus Road Board cannot do as they like, I will not consider any suggestion of theirs in regard to this matter. —I am, yours etc., Alex Weaver."
