Canada's Record Revenue

Ottawa, April 26. The Budget speech disclosed that Canada’s revenue for the year ended March last was 330,000,000 dollars, compared with 170,000,000 for the previous year. After meeting all capital expenditure, interests and pensions charges, the Government is able to pay 60,000,000 dollars off the principal of the war expenditure. During war there were floated in Canada loans aggregating 350,000,000 dollars, besides furnishing 150,000,000 dollars to the Imperial treasury to meet commitments for munitions and supplies in Canada.
