BLENHEIM STOCK BALE The N.Z. Farmers’ Co operative Association report having held their usually fortnightly sale at Blenheim saleyards on Wednesday. There was an excellent yarding, 1946 sheep and 48 head ot cattle coming under the hammer. The attendance was good, bidding was keen, especially for the good lots, and values were notably better than pre« vious sales. The following is a range of prices obtained ;—Fat wethers, 26s 3d to 80s 6d ; fat ewes, 22s 3d to 31s 9d; fat lambs, 17s 7d to 29s ,6 i; wether lambs, 17s to 17s 6d ; m.s. lambs, 14s 6d; four-tooth wethers, 22s 6d to 27s Id ; £ m. ewes, 15s to 18 1 ; calves 48 s. ADDINGTON MARKET Christchurch, Feb. 21,. At the Addington stock market today there were small entries of stock, except store sheep, which were offered in very large numbers. 'Store sheep sold well, as did fat lambs, Fat cattle were easier, the quality generally being indifferent. Fat sheep were irregular, but there was little change in prices. Four pens of extra prime sheep brought morq than usual rates. Store cattle were in good demand, and fat pigs were scarcer and firmer. Store sheep.—Mixed sex lambs, 14s 6d to 24s 7d, ewe lambs, 21s to 23 *, wether lambs lls 4d to 22s 4d , twotooth ewes 32s to 38s, four and sixtooth ewes 27s Id to 86s 6d, six and eight-tooth ewes 255, four, six, and eight-tooth ewes 22s lOd to 28s 3d, sound-month ewes 21s 3d to 31s 10d, sound and failing-mouth ewes, 19s 3d to 21s; two-tooth wethers 23s 9d, four and six-tooth wethers, 23s to 29s Bd.

Fat Lambs,—Extra prime to 85s Bd, prime 28 3 to 82 s, medium 23s 6d to 27a 6d, lighter 20s to 235. Pat sheep.—Extra prime wethers to 60s, prime wethers 84s to 41s, lighter wethers 28s 2d to 83 3 6d, merino wethers 24s 91 to 25s 6d, prime ewes 82s 6d to 40s, medium ewes 27s to 82s, lighter ewes 23s 3d to 26s 6d.

Fat Cattle.—Extra prime steers to £22 2s 6d, prime steers £ls to £2O, ordinary steers £ll 5s to £l4 10s, prime heifers £lO 153 to £l4 ss, or« dinary heifers £7 15s to £lO 10s, extra prime cows £l7; prime cows to £ls, ordinary cows £9 to £ll. Store cattle.—Fifteen to eighteen months £3 15s to £5 ss, two«year steers £6 14s 61 to £6 17s 61, twoyear heifers £6l7s 6d, 2| -year heifers £8 10s to £8 12j 6d, three year steers £lO 17s 6d, three-year heifjrs £lO ss, dry cows £3 10s. Dairy cows £5 to £ls. Pigs.—Choppers £4 to £B, bmoners £3 15s to £5 17s—equal to 7|d to 8d pet lb ; porkers 50s to 65s—equal to 9Jd to ll|d per lb; large stores 57s to 62s 6d, medium 48s to 555, smaller 21s to 85s, weaners 20s to 255.
