You can preserve tomato whole by putting in salt and water in sealed jars. Put the jars in cold water, and bring to the boll. Po not screw the tops of the jars too tightly while boiling, but leave the final screwing down until the jars are taken out of the water. Cabbage a- la Creme.—Boil cabbage until quite tender ; drain and slightly chop. Put in a saucepan with 2 or. butter, pepper and salt. When quite hot dust a tablespoon of flour over, and add 1 gill of cream. Srivc vary hot. WO*.
