Railway Accident

RUNAWAY TRUCKS Melbourne, Feb uary 25. A fatal accident occurred at Yarra Junction. An engine with ten trucks, belonging to the Powell Wood Process Company, was mounting an incline when two trucks, one containing sixteen of the company’s employees, broke away. Six of the men jumped out before the train gathered momentum. After travelling at a mad pace for some distance the train overturned, and Michael Curtain, one of the occupants, was killed. Another man named Francis Flynn was seriously hurt, and eight others slightly injured.
