Leicester, Whose bed was an old-fashioned teicester, And twice every day To her maid she would say She would lie down upon it and reicester. ‘ , There once was a Whitechapel rough Who f neicd himself up to snough ; This rascal so shady He sneaked from a lady The purse she concealed in her ino’.igfi. A smart young policeman i'n bio ugh Ills nefarious conduct saw through ; Had cunningly spied, And arresting him cried, “This ’ere sort of conduce won t dough.” ■ A farmer who followed the plough Was tossed by a furious cough, And when poised in the air,.
