RULES AND'REGULATIONS. 1. Nominations, with money enclosed, for events Nos. 2,3, 5,6, 12, and 15, close with the Secretary (C. L. Diamanti), at the Pelorus Hotel, Canvastown, on SATURDAY, 12th December, at 7.30 p.m. Nominations must be made on proper forms, which may be obtained on application to the Secretary. Handicaps declared on 19th December. Acceptances close with the Secretary at Ganvastown on 24th December. Letters or telegrams bearing date of nominations or acceptance accepted, but any entry made by wire must be Confirmed according to the rules of the N.Z.A.U. before the competitor can be handicapped. 2. Nominators must send their last two years’ performances (private matches included), and if they have not competed within that time they must send in their last four performances. 3. Entries of all other events close with the Secretary on the ground. 4. Unless three competitors start there will be no race; unless ,five no second prize. 5. Any competitor leaving his mark before the pistol shot will be put back one yard for each offence. This rule will be strictly enforced by the starter. 6. There will be intervals of not more than twenty minutes between each event. All sawing events will be under the rules of the N.Z. Axemen’s Association. 7. The programme may be altered or the sports postponed if necessary. The Committee reserve the right to alter or amend the programme should anything arise to justify them in doing so. 8. All protests must be made in writing within twenty minutes, and accompanied by a fee of 10s, which shall be forfeited if the protest be proved frivolous or vexatious. 9. The Committee reserve the right to have any competitor re-handicapped after the declaration of handicaps. 10. All athletic events will be conducted under the rules of the. N.Z. Athletic Union, and competitors’ attention is specially drawn to Rulels of the Constitution, and 13 of Regulations, i.e.: “ That every competitor must be registered and entry tees paid before competing, otherwise he is liable to disqualification, and will pot receive any prizemoney.” 11. All entries must be made on the nomination forms provided by the N.Z.A.U. Forms will be obtainable on application to the Secretary. ADMISSION TO~GROUND; Is; Children up to the age of 12 years, fid.
