'A party of 15 German working men left Berlin on April 20 for England to study the conditions of the British coal, textile, and metal industries. Germany, with an approximate population of 52-,272,401, has at present over 1,800,000 sufferers from consumption, and according to estimates, 170,000 die annually from that disease. A dangerous reef of rock, hitherto unknown, has been discovered by a ilrilish warship off the northern coast of Portugal at a spot where many ships have foundered in the Past.
