PRESERVING EGGS.

The following is a very simple recipe : —Take half a bucket of fresh lime, fill up with boiling water, and let it stand one night well covered up. Fill a deep earthenware pan with fresh eggs, and pour the mixture over them, having previously well stirred it. Cover tightly with thick cloth and brown paper, and stand in a .cellar, where it will not be moved.
