RIFLE SHOOTING.

The final for the Shield was fired at Blenheim on Saturday last, and after a very exciting contest it resulted in a win for the Linkwater team. ,-aChe fact that one of the Tua Marina men refused to fire on account of the bad light spoilt. that team’s chance of winning/for they were only 12 points behind Linkwater. In the evening the winners were the guests of the Marlborough Mounted Rifles at a dinner at the Masonic Hotel. Following were the scores in the final round
