At a special meeting of the Board, held yesterday, there were present Messrs H. M. Reader (Chairman),. Nees, and Bennington. The meeting having been called for the purpose of dealing with various tenders that duty was commenced forthwith. TENDERS. Erecting new cart-bridge (White's Bridge) on the main road • below Mr Couper's, Pelorus. Barton 8r05.,, £226 Is 6d (accepted); C. Diamanti, £240 12s 6d; Nicholi Bros., £284. Gravelling Rai Saddle Road.—Mr J. W. Smith's tender, at 23s 6d per chain for 20 chains, was accepted, and • the lGngth of 10 chains was held over till next month. Widening Track, Pelorus RiverBlack Point.—J. Shotter, 161 ohairis, £2B 3s 6d (accepted); G. Gwillim, 56 chains, £l3 (accepted); 0. Passau, 188 chains, £4O; A. H. Passau, 55 chains, £10; J. McDonald, 106 chains, £lB lis; R. Hutchinson, 56 chains, £2B. Widening Point on main road at Jacques' old Flaxmtll, North Bank.— W. Pask, 2s 6d per yard (accepted); R. Newman, 5s per yard for rock and Is per yard for earth; D. Mortimer, 3s 6(1 per yard; Barton Biros., 3s p«r ■ cubic yard. Gravelling road to Wairau River Ford with gravel from drain.—W. Pask, 12s per chain (accepted); Barton Bros,, llfd per:ui rd; D. McYean, 22s 6d per chain. No offer was sent in for raising and repairing stone sea wall near Saltwater Creek, Mahakipawa, and the Inspector was instructed to get the work done iby day labour. The Board then adjourned until Tuesday, 3rd. Fenraray.
