The Russian Court still guards as if they were saintly relics the carpenter's tools which were once used by Peter the Great. And finally, the Court of Vienna keeps in its most sacred treasurehouse the horseshoe which was cast by the steed of Count Rudolph, the founder of the Hapsburg dynasty, at that epoch-making moment when he met the envoys who had come to announce to him his elevation to the throne of the Holy Roman Empire.
