Suicide of a Young Woman.

Wanganui, January 10,

A young woman named Alice Beatrice Walker, lady help to G, S. Bridge and daughter, committed suicide by drowning herself in a bath, Mr and Mrs Bridge Ht for Wellington on Saturday, leaving Miss Walker in charge of the house. She slay- d with her sister on Monday, and left on Tuesday mornii g, saying she would not be back to lunch, leaving a watch and chain, purse, waterproof, and a blouse behind. Becoming alarmed, a search was made last evening, and the body was found by die police in the bath, partly clothed. The bath wis half full of water, and underneath deceased's head was an iron foot lathe, secured round her neck with a skipping rope. Deceased had been despondent and in illhealth for some time.
