Waimea Picton Cup.
(Latest by Farrier.) As I promised to keep the public posted up on this event I append a few more notes. Since I last wrote, a new candidate has appeared, viz.. Conservative, late Liberal by Rattjng out of Parliament- This
horse won the Motueka Cup on several c ccasions, but through changing colors, aid being an active agent in raising tie rent of Native leases in his own cam try, he was defeated by Herculean Jtck, and I venture to prognosticate he will meet the same fate this tinr He now poses as an Independent, seeing h.ow strongly he is being by the Atkinson stable, no cue can for a moment doubt into which scale his weight would be thrown. As to Tadmor, his exercises are like new potatoes, rather watery, so as I said before, if George keeps Advocate straight I believe he will win. If any one wants the correct Card send to Picton.
