A Curious Case.

; At the Justice Court to-day, Eden George was charged with damaging his photographic apparatus on January 15,. ' ISB9 with the iuteat to injure other persons.' The information was laid by Carl Gerstenkom who was ehargecl hy Georg« with stealing certain documents. The evidence of Gerstenkom is. that George wished to fasten the suspicion on. Manning and Meers,. rival photographers, and wished him to a&<g>t, George offered to. write a I which would protect Gerstenkom in SV| of trouble. A wrote " Oct 6,1 here* byacknpwledgethatl myself destroyed my own property in my studio in January of last year, and' willfully threw lh> suspicion on Gerstenkom aad others, Eden George." Upon the back was written-in-ink'which became visible upon exposure to light "whatever is written u,pou the other side, is at the dictation of Caul Gerstenkom and I cannot vo<i,c!i for its tr.utti; Eden George," this is the document Gerstenkom is charged with.,scaling.. He snatched it fjrotn, George and ran away g,nd.George pursued: hun,, and. had hint bm Inspector Tender refused. t<>" detain him,' The oss if til to-morrow.
