The Sutherland Falls.
Mr W. M. Quill, surveyor, has ascended to the top of the Sutherland Falls, a very stiff and dang'-rous climb. Above the falls is a beautiful lake a mile wide, whose full length could not be s>-ep ita further end was round a spur. The lake is Lcjl by a big glacier on Mount Sutherland and numerous smaller ones. Tm* water leaves the lake by a chasm 100 yard long, 12 feet wide at the bottom, through which the water rushes with great swiftness. L’iie Sutherland Falls are 1904 feet high, in three leaps oi;’ 725, 751, and 234 feet.
