The Government party are much weaker, and the chances of their success are by no means certain. Melbourne, Nov. 27. It has been agreed that the Federal Council, consisting of representatives from Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia, and Fiji, shall meet at|Hobart on the 25th of January next. It Jis improbable that South Australia will be represented, as it is not expected that its Legislature will pass the Enabling Bill during the present session. The Assembly sat until 6 o’clock this morning, owing to the Opposition obstructing the passing of the estimates.
