Mr. N. J. Dolamore, conservator of State forests for Otago and Southland, had been appointed State forests utilisation officer in Rotorua.
Dr. Douglas P. .Kennedy will leave Dunedin this week by the Huntingdon for England, where he will take a •post-graduate course at the School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, London.
Miss Lily Douglas-Sm'ith, a former vice-prcsidenit of the Gisborne Business and Professional Women's Club, leaves Auckland on Monday by the Awatea for Australia, cn route to South Africa. Miss Douglas-Smith is .’to travel to Durban, with two cousins who are returning to South Africa after u holiday /in New Zealand.
