There was an appreciable increase in the customs and other revenue collected in Dunedin and at the port of Otago during the past month, compared with the figures for the same months of 1938 and also 1 show increases over the corresponding periods of'last year. Customs returns during June amounted 'to an increase of over £2200 on those of June, 1938. For the first quarter of the year the receipts in this section showed an -increase of over £9OOO, compared with the AprilJime period last year. The figures are:—
