SHEEP ACROSS TASMAN ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES New Zealand sheep breeders are securing from Australia sires of fat iambs which will reach lreezing weights and condition even earlier than those generally used at present. Of (these breeds, Dorset Horns, Suifolks and Shropshire? are being imported 'in considerable numbers. Recently two exceptionally fine lines were landed at the Bluff from Melbourne. This consignment included stud Suffolk ewes and rams bred in South Australia and also stud Suffolk sheep from Victoria. The importation of these animals was arranged through the stud stock depantment of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, on (behalf of Southland breeders.
A total shipment of 350 hoggets was forwarded from the Bluff to New South Wales last week, this consignment including Romneys, Border Leicester's and some Southdowns. From Wellington last week a specially selected consignment of stud Corriedale sheep went forward to Sydney to a well-known Corriedale breeder in New South Wales, llic iheep were drawn from Mrs. McGregor’s stud at Winchester, South Canterbury, and also from the stud of Mr. James Reid, Darfield.

A few small wcaners were offered and sold from 5s to 7s; slips, 9s to 15s; small stores, 18s to 22s 6d; bigger stores, 23s to 265; good porkers, 355.
