£147 CLAIM FAILS
COUNTER-SUIT SUCCEEDS AFTERMATH OF COLLISION After the hearing bad been adjourned from Wairoa on Thursday, the civil claim of Juanita. Margaret Bog-ley, of Nuhaka, against Christopher Reidy, station manager, oif Tokomaru Bay, and James Dalrymple, farmer, of Gisborne, was concluded before Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., in- the Magistrate’s Court, Gisborne, yesterday The claim arose out of a collision which occurred on the main road at Wbakaki on February 5, when a truck owned by Mrs. Begley and driven by her son collided with a motor -ear owned by Reidy and driven by Dalrymple. Mrs. Begley claimed £147 Gs 3d from Reidy and Dalrymple, a counter-claim for £7O 11s 4d against Mrs. Begley being entered by Reidy. After hearing the evidence, His Worship gave judgment for Reidy and Dalrymple on the first claim and ruled in favour of Reidy on the counter-claim.
Mr. L. T. Burnard appeared for Mrs. Begley .and Mr. K. A. Woodward for Reidy and Dalrymple.
