N.Z. GUM INDUSTRY FIXED PRICES SOUGHT (Per Truss Association.) WHANGAREI, this day. At a largely-attended meeting representative of all the gumfiekls in the far north, it was resolved to urge the Government to take complete control of the industry, do away with brokers and merchants in New Zealand and to attempt to find further overseas markets. The meeting also urged the Government to obtain current, overseas values for all grades of gum and to fix local prices.
