TENNIS SEASON FINALE

KIA ORA CLUB DANCE TROPHIES PRESENTED (Horuld Corresponduiit.s As a finale to the tennis season, a very enjoyable social and dance, organised by the Kia Ora Bowling and Tennis Club was held in the Orange Hail on. Tuesday night. The M.C was Mr. P. Jones, and the music was played by Mrs. Thompson. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss N. Rogers and Mr. O. Grant.

A dainty supper was served hv the members oC the club, after which the captain, Mr. W. Marshall, thanked all for tneir patronage and also apologised for the unavoidable absence of the president anrf several other members.

Trophies won during the season were:—-Chnsp Cup for player gaining most points in a series of handicap matches.—Mr.. J. Martin, 543 points, 1; Mrs. Cram, , r >42 points, runner-up. Trophies for most points in. Club Star matches.—Mr. R. Rogers and Miss J. Barboure. Holders of Club Stars until next season. Mr. .T. Martin and Miss W. Fen ton.

Among those present were Mrs. Lange, wearing a frock of cinnamon brown nccdlerun lace and cherry coatee: Mrs. W. Marshall, brown, floral matalasse: Mrs. ,1. Barrett, Nile green floral satin: Mrs. Thompson, multifloral crepe: Mrs. P. Kaua, black georgette accented with green: Mrs. Rebb, black cloque and sequin coatee; Miss M. Herbert, lei,ion .taffeta: Miss 1 Cameron, powder blue floral sheer; Miss Tietjen, floral striped sheer.

Miss B. Fisher wore tangerine cloque: Miss Ridgway, floral taffeta: Miss N. Rogers, blue floral georgette; Miss J. Marshall, powder blue georgette and velvet coatee; Miss M. Williams, pink cloque: Miss L. Houghion, ivory satin: Miss B. Carlin, shell pink crepe; Miss M. Rogers, blue spotted sheer; Miss B. Parker, green moire taffeta; Miss G. Hulchin, blue floral ninon: Miss N. Houghton, shell pink organdie: Miss M. Kopua, red

satin; Miss C. Kopua, embossed marocaln; Miss Swinton, pink satin: Miss P. Goodall, bottle green velvet and red flower.
