MR. J. A. LEE'S POSITION

HOUSING CONSTRUCTION

(Special to the Herald.) WELLINGTON, this day.

Answering an inquiry regarding the position of Mr. J. A. Lee, Under-Sec-retary to the Minister of Finance, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage stated that following the Hon. H. T. Armstrong's appointment as Minister of Housing, that being his major responsibility, it was decided to 'amalgamate Mr. Lee's office with Mr; Armstrong's. "Mr. ■ Lee ' will carry on under the direction of Mr. Armstrong. There is «lor© work than ever to be done for housing. The progress has not been sufficient to meet the demand and we have to make greater efforts so that hoth Mr. Armstrong and Mr. Lee will be fully occupied."
