FALL INTO RIVER

BUS OWNER DROWNED DARGAVILLE ACCIDENT Accidentally stepping into the Wairoa River from his bus, which he had just parked on the wharf at Dargaville, Reginald Cecil Charles Vause, aged 26, service bus proprietor, of Dargaville, was drowned on Saturday night.

Mr. Vause, who was a married man, usually parked his bus on the wharf. As he was a good swimmer it is assumed that he hit the wharf while falling. The body was recovered yesterday by the Dargaville police. An inquest was opened later and adjourned.
