WOMEN’S VOTE OPPOSED
SOUTH-WEST AFRICA PROTEST BY GERMANS (Reed. March 30, 9 a.m.) CAPETOWN, March 28. A report from Windhoek says that the Southwest African Legislature is requesting the Union Government to amend the constitution of Southwest Africa to enfranchise women. The Deutscherbund representative, Mr. Meinert, opposed the proposal on the grounds that the Germans thereby would, be placed in such a minority that it would not he worth while to contest any constituency.
