Macleod, Clifford street, intend leaving on Sunday for Hawke’s Bay, and'will spend a few days there until their departure for Wellington to embark on the Arawa on April 6 for England on a holiday .rip.

Mrs. W. A. Bowie, Kaiti Esplanade, who has been on a motor tour in the North Auckland district with Miss M. Barker, Gisborne, and Miss M. Todhunter, Christchurch, is now in Auckland, where she is the guest of Mrs. Iris Brown, Milford. Mrs. Bowie will remain there until the arrival of her husband. Dr. W. A. Bowie, by' the Trojan Star on April 5, after a refresher course in England and Scotland.

The examiner for tiro Royal Academy of Dancing in South Africa. Australia and New Zealand this yea; will be Miss Kathleen Danetree. She left England for South Africa early this month, and expects to reach New Zealand late in August or early in September. If the trans-Tasman air service has begun by then, Miss Danetree will fly from Sydney to Auckland.

Mrs. Hedlcy Reeves, who has been the guest of her mother, Mrs. R. Mackenzie Gunn, returned yesterday to her home near Tolaga Bay.

Miss Gwen Gumming returned last week after some months in Australia. She is staying with her mother, Mrs. Gumming, Derby street.

Mrs. Lawrence Jex-Blake returned to Mangapoike yesterday after spending a week in Gisborne with Mrs. J. de V. W. Blathwayt, Fox street.

Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Parker intend leaving Gisborne next week-end for Dannevirke, where they will take up their residence.

Mrs. E. A. Fenwick, sen., Mrs. W. Fenwick, Mrs. McMasters and Mrs. A. Ringland, who have been on a tour of the East Coast, have returned to Napier.

Mrs. M. Turei left early yesterday morning for Palmerston North to visit her second eldest daughter, Miss Olga Turei, who is an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital. * £ * * Mr. and Mrs. R. C.
