JOB GAINED BY SLIP

MANAGER OF AIRPORT CARDIFF, Feb. 10. If a city council clerk had not made a slip, Mr. C. S. Humphries would nol have been appointed to-day as Cardiff Airport manager. His name was not on the short list approved by the airport committee, but by accident a clerk included his name among those to be interviewed to-day. The members decided they would see him, as he had travelled to Cardiff, and were so impressed they gave him the job at £SOO a year. He is at present chief engineer of International Air Freights, Limited, Wallington.
