NAZI LAWS IN MEMEL
RESTRICTION OF JEWS POSSESS! ON S V ALU ED (Reed. March 25, 1 p.m.) MEMEL, March 24. The possessions of Jews have been sequestrated lor (the; 'establishment of their value to prevent their being smuggled out of Memel. The Jews are being subjected to similar financial burdens as in Germany. Jewish judges and lawyers will 'be disbarred. All German laws will be enforced in Memel from May 1. Two hundred armoured cars, 60 tanks, artillery, and anti-aircraft units have arrived in Memel. RETURN FROM MEMEL HITLER. IN BERLIN (Reed. March 25, noon.) BERLIN, March 24. Herr Hitler arrived back in Berlin to-day following his visit to Memel. There was no demonstration. ANTI-JEWISH LAW HUNGARIAN MEASURE TRADE LIMITATION (Reed. March 25, 1.30 p.m.) BUDAPEST, March 24. The Hungarian Chamber adopted an anti-Jewish bill which curtails Jewish business, reduces the proportion of Jews who can be employed in trade and industry from, 20 per cent to between 6 and 12 per cent, and makes it practically .impossible for middle and poor class Jews to earn a livelihood.
