CRUSHING BLOW

Davis Cup player, Len Schwartz, of South Australia, was a picture of gloom recently. His defeat in the singles championship by Jimmy Gilchrist, was a crushing blow to his hopes to represent Australia again in the Davis Cup. an ambition on which he had set his mind many weeks ago. In a letter to a friend in Svdncy, Schwartz said that he was adopting the axiom of "early to bed and early to rise" as the best method of reaching top form for the titles. It did not work, and now Schwartz is wondering what is the best system to follow in tennis.
