The Hendaye correspondent of The Times states that the Madrid and Valencia wireless stations sent radio communications to Burgos on Tuesday reiterating the desire of the Spanish Republican Government for peace. “We desire peace and await your reply; even if your conditions are negative, we should like to know them,” stated the broadcast. “If the fight must be continued, we are ready to defend our dignity.” Italy and Germany have informed Lord Plymouth that they are not subscribing further to the Non-Interven-tion Board and for this reason all land and sea observers are being withdrawn and the board is being dissolved.
