DAMAGES FOR PLAYER LONDON, Feb. 10. Speaking for the Cliftonville (near Belfast) Golf Club, in an appeal againsl £ISOO damages awarded to a golfer who was injured by a golf ball, Mr. Althur Black. K.C., said in Ulster Appeal Court yesterday:— "If the verdict of the jury stands, it means that dozens of first-class clubs throughout the United Kingdom. from St. Andrews down, are guilty of actionable negligence every day of the week and every day of the year."
