NEW SOCIAL LEGISLATION ATTITUDE OF ORDER (Per I'ioss Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The movable conference of the Manchester Unity Oddieilows was officially opened yesterday by the Deputy-Mayor, Mr. J. A. C. Allum. The Auckland district grand master, Bro. H. Bates, welcomed the grand master of the order, Bro. W. McMillan and deputies, remarking that, it was 20 years since the movable conference Was held at Auckland. The reports on sick claims showed that the actual sick claims exceeded the expected male claims by £5048, equal to 3.1 per cem. and female claims by £2636. 65.6 per cent.
