NEW GUIDON PRESENTED
OTACO MOUNTED' UNIT (Pur Pross Association.) DUNEDTN, last night. A notable event in the history of the Otago Mounted Rifles was the ceremony at the Wingatui racecourse yesterday when the Governor-Gen-crol, Viscount Galwa'y, presented the regiment's new guidon, which was dedicated by the chaplain, Mr. Stevely It was an impressive ceremonial in which all units of the third composite, namely the Canterbury Yeomanry and Nelson-Marlborough Mounted Rifles took part. The. ceremonial farewell to the old standard was a moving function.
