Henare Ruru fern badges is still very keen, two matches having been played last week. In the first of these matches the holders, H. Ruru and Mrs. VVatene (scr.), lost to R. H. Brown and Miss L. Ruru (o. 30) 5—9. A close contesi took place when the latter pair was ciiariengecl by B. Ruru and miss i. Mills. Many club members were interested spectators, R. H. Brown and Miss L. Ruru to. 30 every game and o. 40 every third game) finally defeating B. Ruru and Miss F. Mills (scr.), 10—3. A picnic for members and thenfriends will be held at Tatapouri on March 26, and for those who have no means of transport a bus will leave Te Karaka at 9 a.m.
