FATAL INJURIES

MAN FALLS FROM WINDOW j l SLEEP- WALKING M 'CIDENT (Pit I’ii'ss Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. Fatal injuries were received by Henry John Thomas Kearns aged 65, a miner, Deep Creek, when he fell 15ft. from the top window of the Canvastown Hotel at 5.30 o'clock yesterday morning. Although his leg was fractured he managed to crawl to the back door of the hotel and arouse the occupants. Mr. Kearns was brought to hospital, but died a few hours later It is thought that the accident was due to the deceased walking in his sleep. An inquest will be held.
