Theatre Taken Over
Another link in the chain of theatres directed by Mr. It. J. Kerridge, formerly of Gisborne and now of Auckland, was forged on Thursday when a theatre was taken over by Air. Kerridge in Otorohanga, King Country. The theatre was acquired from private enterprises and has been completely renovated and modernised. This increases the number of theatres on the Kerridge chain to 20. The demonstration was watched by Wellington business men, including the directors of the exhibition, insurance experts and members of the Wellington Fire Board. School Furniture Replacements of the older types of iron-framed desks used in some schools of the Hawke’s Bay Education Board’s district .arc to proceed over a period of five years. The board decided yesterday to apply annual amounts of £IOOO to these replacements, which have been urged repeatedly by various school committees.
