CiOOD COMPETITION The entry in the store sheep section at the Matawhero stock, sale yesterday totalled. 5228. Competition was good at the lower values now ruling. Lamb prices declined, while other values showed little, it' any, alteration.

The range of prices was: Lambs, good lines, Gs to 9s lOd; Southdown lambs, fat and forward 11s 2d, fairly good; 7s lOd; ewe lambs, fairly good lines, 9s 2d and 9s Gd; breeding ewes, sturdy 4-tooths 17s ,'ld, G and 8-tooths 15s 4d, 5 and 1 6-year 8s and 8s Gd; aged ewes, low level teeth and good store condition 4s 3d,, several fairly good condition 3s and 3s Id; wethers, full of condition 10s sd, medium to 8s Gd, small and light Gs Bd.
