Packed With Incident
THE thousands of people who enjoyed A “Gone With the Wind” will probably put . . And Tell of Time,” by Mrs. Laura Krey, on Ihcir library list, because While 'it may not enjoy the popularity of the first, book its reception in America already stamps it as a worthy second rival. Briefly stated, it" tells the story of a young. Texas farmer who after the Civil War returns -to his estate with his young bride. Mrs. Krey shows that life was not easy, for the officious Northerners and the emancipated negroes made things difficult but Cavin and Lucina eventually win through. Packed with incident and intrigue, which blend with the gradual emergence of a happy family life, “And Tell of Time” gives a vivid picture of a rapidly changing era which the ordinary social 'history books fail Co provide. Mrs. Krey’is novel is an achievement because while she has a story to 101 l about living people, her book is a "big” one in the best sense of the
term.
