C TALKS AT DUSSELDORF POINTS OF AGREEMENT e * (Reed. March 18, 9 a.m.) LONDON, March 17. Reports from Dusseldorf state that the talks between the members of the a Anglo-German trade missions have 'f ended. A communique states it was agreed * that essential constructive co-opera- ; tion designed to foster world trade j. and replace destructive competition s was necessary. Secondly, it was recognised that price agreements were only a step towards a more ordered system of world trade * in which the participation of others * would be welcomed. Thirdly, it was ' agreed that, negotiations should be started immediately between the industries organised for this purpose. Fourthly, it was agreed that should f the advantages of the agreements be 3 nullified 'by a third-party competition, . it might be necessary to ask for Gov--3 eminent help. Fifthly, it was agreed y that a joint effort to increase world consumption of British and German products was a necessary forerunner of other agreements. Mr. R. S. Hudson, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Department of Overseas Trade, leaves London on Saturday for Warsaw, whence he will go to Moscow. He will return by way of other northern European capitals, at each of which he will have talks on trade matters.
