STAFF PRESENTATION
VALUED ASSOCIATIONS PILOT’S RETIREMENT The conclusion of a lengthy and valued association with SquadronLeader T. W. White was marked by the staff of the Uni&n Steam Ship Company, the ground-staff at Darton Field, and the radio technicians at a gathering held this morning at the Union Company’s office, when Squad-ron-Leader White was presented with a handsome desk set as a parting gift. Mr. Keith Bull, manager for the Union Company in Gisoorne, made the presentation, and expressed the regret which all who. had had the privilege of Squadron-Leader White’s friendship would feel at this severance of his connection with flying. Messrs. J. Fellow, ground engineer, and N. Creelman, of the aerodrome radio staff, also spoke briefly, and complimented Squadron-Leader White upon the high standard of efficiency he had maintained throughout his 23 years’ flying activity; Squadron-Leader White made a suitable acknowledgement of the gift, and of the good wishes tendered to him by his friends in the respective staffs.
