GAS MASKS FOR BABIES

NEW BRITISH DEVICE PUBLIC TESTS PROPOSED (British Official Wiroiuss.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY. March 13. After prolonged research, the Government has approved of a respirator known as the "baby helmet,” for the protection of infants in the event of gas attack. Public demonstrations of the new device will be made to-day in the presence of parents of infants under two years, who will be fitted with the helmets.

A total of 1,400,000 has been been ordered and will be distributed within a few months. In addition, 1,300,000 special respirators for children under four years of age are in production
