Mr. H. Dyson, placement officer at Napier, was a visitor to Wairoa yesterday.—Special.

Mr. E. S, Coleman, placement officer, Wairoa, has received notification of his transfer to Auckland, where he will be connected with the social security scheme.—Special. _

Four members of the Automobile Association (Auckland) will arrive at Gisborne on Friday afternoon from Palmerston North and Napier to be present .at the annual meeting that evening of the association’s members in this district. The visitors will be Mr. F. G. Fa.rrell, president of the association, Mr. A. A. Dignan, a vicepresident, Mr. A. Graysop, a life member, and Mr. G. W. Hutchison, secretary.

The following passengers travelled by Union Airways’ planes to-day between Gisborne, Napier and Wellington:— Gisborne-Napier.—Mesdames M. McPherson. E. Harris and E. W. Jtuddick; Miss M. McPherson; Messrs. R. J. A, Leslie and A. E. Dakin. Gis-borne-Wellington.—Miss G. Winchcombe; Mr. C. Matthews. Mrs. E. Cox travelled from Napier to Christchurch to-day.
