The Japanese claim the capture of a village opposite Shayang, 25 miles from Shasi, an important Yangtse port, which apparently is the next objective. The Chinese claim to have launched a counter offensive in the west Shansi area.

The Japanese in an air raid on Loyang, demolished 400 houses and caused 50 casualties.
