(Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. March G, 3 p.m.) LONDON, March 5. The Prague correspondent of The Times says that tension has been growing between Prague and Bratislava, but is temporarily interrupted, and negotiations are being resumed to-morrow.
Meanwhile the Slovak Separatist tendencies, which Germany is believed to support, retard the consolidation of the Slovak Republic, on which Herr Hitler insists as a preliminary to guaranteeing the Czechoslovak frontiers.
Members of the Hlinka Guard, which is regarded as the nucleus of the Slovak army, mishandled Roman Catholic priests and* ransacked Jewish shops at the famous health resort of Pistany.
