EWE VALUES EASIER SALE AT MORRINSVILLE COAST DRAFTS The market for East Coast breeding ewes aTthe MorrinsviUe sale on I n ; day declined 2s per head, but store cattle from the East Coast sold at Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports:"There was an average entry of tot sheep with values on a par with the previous week's sale. There was again I good entry of store lambs although prices were slightly easier than last sale; however, the majority of the entry changed hands. The advertised entry of breeding ewes from the East Coast and southern districts came forward in tuu numbers. Unfortunately, the condition of the East Coast sheep was not as good as usual and, generally speaking the quality also was inferior to recent offerings. Generally speaking, prices were lower by at least 2s a head. , . ~ , "Two particularly choice lines ot southern ewes from the Dannevirke and Featherston districts attracted a good deal of attention and realised satisfactory prices, selling from 19s 6d to 20s Hd. Two-tooth ewes were, however, dull of sale. Here again the quality and condition was inferior. Cull ewes were also hard to quit. Ewes from Raetihi realised 15s, but ewes from North Auckland were dull of sale. Quotations:— Cattle—Light fat steers, £5 17s; medium fat Tieifers, £4 16s to 6gns.; light, £3 15s to £4 4s; heavy fat cows, £5 15s to £6 6s. Sheep.—Light fat two-tooth wethers 14s lid to 16s 6d; young fat ewes, 13s; fat ewes, 7s to 8s 3d; heavy fat lambs, 20s to 22s Id; white-faced woolly ewe lambs, lis 8d; wether lambs, 9s 3d to 9s 7d; mixed sexed lambs, 6s 9d to 10s 0d; black-faced lambs, 10s 8d to 13s 2d; small lambs, 8s to 8s 3d.

TE PUKE STOCK SALE CATTLE VALUES LOWER. At the Te Puke stock sale there was a good yarding of cattle and pigs. The general fall in values was reflected in the prices for cattle. Vendors, 'however, were meeting the

market, and with the exception of two or three pens, the whole offering was disposed of under the hammer, There was a good quality yarding of pigs and, with outside buyers operating freely for baconers, porkers and butter-milk pigs, a good sale resulted. Slips and v.-eaners were dull of sale.
